Dutch director Jorinde Keesmaat has been named CCO’s first Guest Director in Residence. Supported by a €85,000 grant by the Netherlands Performing Arts Fund, Ms. Keesmaat will direct four operas over the course of the next three years. Her first project will be a double-bill of works from the esteemed Dutch composer, Louis Andriessen; Anais Nin and Odysseus Women which will take place in October 2016.
Ms. Keesmaat is director of the Concertgebouw Tracks series and has recently directed at Opéra national de Montpellier. She graduated from the College of Arts theatre direction department and her graduation performance The Honey Makers was shown at the Vital Theatre in New York.
